U14 Team Coach

FVSEF  is seeking an Alpine Coach to assist the U14 Lead Coach for the 2025/2026 season. The team has expanded over the past couple of years since we began offering a part-time option along with our full-time competition team. As a result, it includes athletes with a wide range of ski racing experience and skills. The training needs of our more experienced U14 racers are quite different from those of the less experienced, who may compete in Northern Division YSL (Youth Ski League, unscored) races more than scored U14 races. The lead U14 coach needs additional staff to manage the needs of these different groups.

Additionally, the experienced U14 athletes frequently train with the U16 team since their qualifying races are usually combined. The U14 coach will work at the direction of the Lead U14 coach and in coordination with the U16 and U18 coaches. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Applicants must

  • be certified coaches in good standing with US Ski & Snowboard.
  • be willing and able to successfully work in a team environment that includes on and off hill
  • work with U14 athletes, FVSEF coaches, and other teams within the Northern Division.
  • have experience with alpine ski racing and training and the ability to organize, direct, and  lead a group of athletes.
  • assist with B-net installation and maintenance on training and race hill.
  • have a desire to learn, be driven to success, and have a willingness to accept feedback.
  • be relatable to teens in this age group; and
  • have strong communication skills.
