KYLE TAYLOR
HEAD FREERIDE COACH
Kyle grew up skiing at Whitefish Mountain and joined the race team at age 9. He was Junior Olympic DH and Overall Champion and ended up racing NCAA at Montana State University while receiving a BS in Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S). After graduation, he continued his passion for skiing working for Bomb Snow Magazine producing, filming, and skiing in Bomb Snow TV episodes. In 2015 Kyle qualified for the Freeride World Tour where he competed for 2 seasons. In the years since he has been invited to judge IFSA junior comps and FWQ 4star competitions in the US and Europe. Four years ago Kyle turned to coaching, first with the Schweitzer Freeride team, then the U-14 race team at Whitefish, and last year started the Flathead Freeride Program . In the spring he guides for Stellar Adventure Travel in Haines, AK. Kyle is Wilderness First Responder, CPR, and Pro 2 Avalanche certified. More than anything Kyle is excited to share his experience and knowledge of the skiing world with the next generation of shredders!
