HILARY LINDH
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND HEAD COACH
Hilary grew up in Juneau, Alaska and attended high school at Rowmark Ski Academy in Utah. She was just 15 when she was named to the U.S. Ski Team. At 16, Hilary won the World Junior Championships and US Nationals downhill title. The three-time Olympian also won a silver medal in downhill at the 1992 Olympics and became World Champion in downhill in 1997. After retiring from racing, Hilary earned a BS degree in biology and an MS degree in ecology and conservation planning. She started coaching at summer camps in Mt Hood and on the Blackcomb Glacier. She coached FIS kids at Whistler Mountain Ski Club for a year and then led the Snow Stars program (equivalent to our All-Mountain Rangers) in the Yukon Territory for two seasons. Since arriving in the Flathead Valley she coached All-Mountain Rangers, worked with the U14/U16/U18 age groups during speed training/racing, and led the Masters program before taking the reins as Head Coach in 2021. Hilary hopes to instill a lifelong love of skiing, the ability to find joy in being in the mountains and the snow, and especially in the mastery of skiing fast!!
