DAVE "FISCH" FISCHLOWITZ
LEAD RANGERS COACH
Fisch grew up in Minneapolis playing football and ski racing on the short steep ice covered hills of the northern midwest. The call of the mountains brought him westward to Portland for a Bachelor of Science at Lewis & Clark College. Resettlement in Whitefish for a couple of years of ski bumming became a professional skiing and contracting life. He enjoys hiking, biking, boating, and camping at the lakes and in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Krista and their daughter, Stella Bernice. Four years of working at the Big Mountain Ski School under the direction of Mark Williams became the start of long term commitment to working with kids on the development of ski skills. He earned a 100 level coaching certification, and after more than a decade of coaching with FVSEF the number of families involved has gone from 12 to over 200! He now oversees 12-15 Ranger Coaches during the season. In the off-season, Dave operates a deconstruction, reclaimed building materials, and glass recycling business, and recently completed a Master of Arts in Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Level 100 US Ski & Snowboard coach
